TU Delft Educator of the Year 2023 Alessandro Bombelli: “It all starts with education”
With a reputation for an open, interactive teaching style and incorporating fun and innovative ways to learn, Dr. Alessandro Bombelli was named TU Delft Educator of the Year 2023. As Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering, he actively seeks and uses student feedback to continually improve courses and engage students.
It’s an honour to be recognised with the Educator of the Year award. For me it is also a reminder that it comes with expectations, and it's also motivation to do a bit better.
Alessandro Bombelli
Bombelli will also compete in the ISO Docent van het Jaar competition. In 2019 that competition was won by Calvin Rans. Bombelli does stress that teaching is always a group effort: “I want to thank all my colleagues at the faculty, and especially the colleagues I co-teach with or shared thoughts about education.”
