Port of Dê Gi
Description
This group worked together on a multidisciplinary project on the Port of Đề Gi. The fishery sector is one of the most important economic sectors in Vietnam. Mid-Vietnam has various fishing ports accommodating up to 6000 fishing vessels. The local community mainly relies on these types of ports. The Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture is investing in this region to enhance its economic potential and the focus of this investment is the upgrade of the port of Đề Gi. Our aim was to comment on new development plans and come up with recommendations. The research problem was two-sided focusing on transport as well as hydraulic challenges.
