How to do test result analyses

Test result analyses help you to find the answer to the following questions:

  1. To what extent to my students master the individual learning objectives? This helps you to adjust the rest of your course or to improve next year’s course.
  2. What was the quality of the individual (sub)questions or criteria? This will help you adjust the answer model / grading per criteria for this group of students, and improve the questions and course for next year.
  3. What was the quality and difficulty of my assessment as a whole? This will help you decide if you need to adjust the grades as a whole.

Guiding principles

The main quality requirements for assessment are validity, reliability and transparency.
