Student Assistants Needed: PowerWeb MOOCs and General Support

Join PowerWeb Institute in Shaping the Energy Transition

In 2022, PowerWeb Institute launched four Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) focused on various aspects of the energy transition. We're now looking for a student assistant to join our team. As a student assistant, you will play a role in moderating and improving these courses. Moreover, you will assist in organising events, managing data for research projects, and contributing to our outreach efforts. Your efforts will be invaluable to enhance our educational impact and nurture a vibrant, collaborative community within the institute!

Your Main Role:

MOOC Tasks:

  • Engage with a diverse group of learners via discussion forums.
  • Keep an eye on course feedback and contribute to improving the courses.
  • Address and resolve queries or issues faced by learners.
  • Assist in developing and updating course materials as needed.
  • Work closely with professors to help present research to a global audience.

General Support:

  • Collect and organise data related to research projects
  • Supporting Events (e.g. posting fliers to advertise, running registration desk, mic runner during discussions)
  • Supporting some communication activities such as developing fliers, and posting events on social media

We're Looking For Someone Who Is:

  • Proficient in English.
  • Highly organized.
  • Punctual and able to meet deadlines
  • Able to switch between various tasks
  • Detail-oriented and meticulous.

While not a requirement, some familiarity with energy systems (ESE, SET, 3ME, etc.) or a willingness to learn more about this field is highly valued.
