I have followed the BSc Technische Bestuurskunde at TPM. During my minor in Computer science, I discovered that I enjoy programming and data science a lot. This made me choose the master Engineering and Policy Analysis, as it combines programming, modeling, and complex socio-technical problems. In my private life, I enjoy working out, cycling, and going out with friends.

Project description:

Electricity is essential in the modern world. Although India is near reaching 100\% electrification, for many of its citizens, reliable access to electricity is still a major issue. However, determining reliability can be difficult without proper metering. It is not clear how, when, and where the reliability issues arise. The proposed research aims to acquire insight into how India's electrical supply varies on the grid. This will be done using a modeling approach. Using literature review and remote sensing data in combination with machine learning algorithms a predictive algorithm that can indicate the electricity usage in India will be created, and in doing so, can help with price adjustments and identify reliability and fairness issues.
