Designing for Darkness in the Delftse Hout

We maintain that a significant part of the challenge of the Energy Transition is in combining the local and regional spatial planning procedures. Our ambition is to use Tygron digital platform technology to (1) model the spatial planning impact of Renewable Energy Sources (RES) on relevant stakeholders and (2) to design and test institutional mechanisms that allow stakeholders to coordinate on successful RES development.

Our research crosses several boundaries. Insights from several disciplines are used such as; experimental economics, institutional economics, spatial planning, governance, and platform economics.  We are building an innovative Multi-Actor ICT platform as an infrastructure to conduct economic experiments on, with the aim to test spatial planning mechanisms related to the Energy Transition.
