Storage

In moderate climates and industrialized areas, both heating and cooling capacities are abundantly available, however mostly not at the right time and/or the right location. Heat storage can overcome the discrepancy in time and needs to be realised on various scales: temporal (short- and long-term), spatial (small- and large-scale), and temperature-wise (low and high temperature).
