Delft Digital Ethics Centre signs Letter of Intent to contribute to the Information Academy

The Information Academy is an initiative of the Government Commissioner for Information Management Arre Zuurmond, and aims to become a leading knowledge platform, contributing to solutions to social issues through research and innovation, as well as education and assurance. This platform aims to realize a proactive, responsive government through decision-making based on information and knowledge, and a government of which its information management is future-proof. The Information academy aims to achieve this through an education programme for Dutch civil servants.

Those big aims need to start small. This partnership is a first but significant step towards advancing knowledge and expertise required in order to deal with the questions that come with the digitalization of the government. The Delft Digital Ethics Centre (DDEC) strives to contribute to a responsive government by shaping the ethical considerations in government information management.

On December 14th, the partners that started this initiative signed a letter of intent to cooperate within this platform. Besides the DDEC, partners Digicampus and TU Delft - The Hague campus are also part of this initiative.
