Natural geological formations provide giant (TWh) capacity for renewable energy (e.g. solar and wind) storage once this energy is converted into green fuels (e.g. hydrogen and methane). Being significantly important for energy transition, safe and efficient storage depends on scientific breakthroughs in current predictive simulation methods. Project ADMIRE develops a dynamic simulation framework for safe and efficient energy storage in underground geological formations. It is funded by NWO-TTW ViDi grant of Dr. Hadi Hajibeygi.
