Tiexing Wang joined our group as visiting PhD student

Tiexing Wang joined our group as visiting PhD student

Tiexing is a visiting PhD student from Jilin University in China and started on January 2nd. He will stay until the end of the year. Tiexing will be working within the Delphi consortium on the optimum estimation of multiply scattered seismic waves and separate them from the single-scattered waves. His supervisor is Eric Verschuur.

Three out of twelve Medical Delta projects granted to ImPhys researchers

Medical Delta has launched twelve researchprogrammes that will work on technological solutions for sustainable healthcare. These programmes combine knowledge and expertise of three universities and two university medical centers to address important societal challenges in healthcare. Three out of twelve projects were granted to ImPhys researchers. Per project they will receive € 380k.

NWO grants collaborative Cryo-microscopy development by Hoogenboom (ImPhys) and Jakobi (BN)

NWO has announced that it has decided to fund the 810 k€ collaborative project CRYO3BEAMS led by Jacob Hoogenboom (ImPhys). The project, which further involves Arjen Jakobi (BN) and industrial partners Delmic and Demcon-Kryoz, is funded within the High-Tech Systems and Materials (HTSM) Topsector call.

He will work on this project together with Douwe van Willigen, Martin Verweij, Michiel Pertijs and Nico de Jong. HollandPTC-Varian grants offically awarded

During the official opening of HollandPTC on Friday 30 November, the Varian grants of € 2.700.000 were awarded. ImPhys researcher Frans Vos received € 300.000 for his project on a new methodology for developing biomarkers of radiation-induced toxicity based on advanced MR imaging. Beginning next year we expect to recruit personnel for this project.

ImPhys to coordinate large new public private research programme SYNOPTICS

The Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO) has announced which new research programmes may start in the so-called 'Perspective for the Top Sectors' programme. A total of six public-private programmes will receive about 28 million euros. The project is about achieving higher resolution and sensitivity in optical devices.

ImPhys involved in large new public private research programme ULTRA-X-TREME

The Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO) has announced which new research programmes may start in the so-called 'Perspective for the Top Sectors' programme. A total of six public-private programmes will receive about 28 million euros. The project is about better diagnoses of dangerous vascular problems using a new ultrasound technique.
