Missed exam enrolment deadline

You can find information about exam registration on the examination page of the student portal. The page states that exam registration starts 8 weeks before the exam day, up to 14 calendar days beforehand.
After that, and up to 6 calendar days before the exam, you can be placed on a waiting list. Finally, for on-campus exams, you can try the Last-minute exam admission procedure, which allows you to participate if you arrive on time and there are still seats and exams available.

Timely exam registration is the student’s own responsibility.
If registration problems occur due to a mistake by the exam administration or the teacher, the responsible party/parties should take care of the problem.

Regarding force majeure:
Since registration is possible for a period of six weeks, true force majeure situations are rare.
The TU Delft offers 2 exams per year to allow students to complete their studies without delay. Until a pass grade is obtained, all exam opportunities should be made use of. During their studies, students may expect to miss a train, have the flu or make a mistake in their exam registration. The second exam opportunity is provided as a back-up for such circumstances.
