The team of the TPM Energy Transition Lab is proud to announce that their website has been launched. The Lab is an experimental lab with the ambition to perform innovative and interdisciplinary research on the development of new approaches, methods and tools for fostering an effective, fair, legitimate energy transition.

EPA master students Tess Kim and Rico Herzog successfully competed in the SIMIO competition last May. Out of more than 330 teams across the globe, the two master students were awarded the second place from a jury made up academic and professional SIMIO users.

As of today Frances Brazier has been appointed as the new leader of the Systems Engineering section. She succeeds Martijn Warnier.

Gerdien de Vries will be supervising Shima Ebrahimigharehbaghi, a PhD student of the faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment. Shima will be doing research into cognitive biases, and behavioural factors and transaction costs barriers to the homeowners’ energy renovation decisions, for the upcoming 4 years.

Anita Trisiah and Gerdien de Vries are part of a consortium that will foster scientific long-term collaboration in the field of geothermal energy between Indonesia and the Netherlands both from technical and social perspectives with a KNAW anticipation grant. The MiMo (Misi Monitoring) project has the aim to result in a profound research plan for under-exploited potentials of geothermal energy in both countries. By developing geothermal energy, the need to provide clean and sustainable energy can be fulfilled.
