Myrthe van den Berg

Due to my interest in finding technological solutions for healthcare problems, I pursued and received my BSc in Biomedical Engineering (2020) and MSc in Medical Engineering (2022) at the Eindhoven University of Technology. I specialized in applying Deep Learning in Medical Image Analysis. During my PhD, I’m developing risk prediction models for hip osteoarthritis. I am affiliated with both the Erasmus Medical Center (Department of Orthopedics and Sports Medicine) and the Delft University of Technology (Pattern Recognition Lab). By combining multi-modal data from several longitudinal cohort studies within the World COACH consortium (https://www.worldcoachconsortium.com/nl/home), we hope to develop advanced algorithms to better understand disease development and identify modifiable risk factors. To this end, different machine learning and statistical methods that consider the hierarchical structure of the dataset will be considered.
