Results of Tender Digital Assessment

After a careful process in which all the requirements and wishes of the users were included in the tender for digital assessment, the winner has emerged: the well-known ANS.

The survey carried out in 2021 showed that various tooling were used within the TU Delft for digital assessment. The approaching expiry of contracts was a good time to assess which tooling best supports our contemporary way of working. Due to legal obligations, the formal procurement rules had to be applied correctly.

After an intensive and careful period in which all faculties and support services were involved, the tender was put on the market. A number of suppliers asked additional questions and a few submitted offers. In the end, our current ANS platform emerged as the best candidate.

This means that we will now regard ANS as our basic assessment system for the coming years and will ensure that it meets the wishes and requirements surrounding digital assessment on campus and remotely as well as possible. Also included is the use of the entire portfolio of digital assessment tooling, so that the right tool is used for the right purpose. In In the coming months, we will work together with the faculties on a thorough plan of approach and a schedule that fits in as well as possible with the academic year schedule and takes into account the busiest moments. Details will follow in September. The situation regarding the options of Digital Assessment tooling at the start of the coming academic year remains unchanged.

Below are a number of quotes from lecturers and students who participated in the assessment of the tenders:

Lecturers:

  • "I did not think that ANS offers such good support in terms of graphs and formulas".
  • "Grading is really easy in ANS, clear and efficient and supports in quickly finding common errors"

Students:

  • "The layout is perfect. Modern, very well structured and easy to find".
