Bernard Dam Group

My field is functional thin film materials science: find relations between growth, (defect)structure and physical properties in relation to their application. At present we investigate metal hydride based hydrogen sensors, chemochromic windows and hydride-based solid state electrolytes. Within the MECS group I am collaborating with Fokko Mulder, Hans Geerlings and Tom Burdyny on (photo-)electrochemical conversion processes. Electrochemical conversion processes are key to store large amounts of electricity for long periods of time. On a larger TU Delft scale this topic is coordinated by the Delft e-Refinery program.
