I was born and brought up in West Bengal, India. After completion of B.Sc. degree in chemistry (Honours) from Calcutta University, I moved to Indian Institute of Technology, Madras for pursuing M.Sc in chemistry. Then, I cleared all India national eligibility test (NET) in chemistry and joined as a junior research fellow in Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Kolkata under supervision of Prof. Amitava Patra. I obtained my Ph.D degree (in chemistry) in September, 2022. During my doctoral studies, I worked on excitons dynamics of lead halide perovskite nanocrystals and their heterostructures.

After finishing my doctoral studies, I moved to Optoelectronic Materials group at TU delft, Netherlands to carry out my post-doctoral research. Here, I will be working on the project related to “Two-dimensional semiconductors for highly efficient ultrathin photovoltaics” under the guidance of prof. dr. Laurens Siebbeles. Mostly, I will focus on the terahertz/transient absorption responses of two dimensional transition metal dichalcogenides. Apart from research, I love to capture tiny objects and the natural beauty of this universe with my lens. I also enjoy spending my spare times with my family and friends.
