Velsertunnel Project
The Velsertunnel is almost 60 years old and large scale renovation is mandatory. Rijkswaterstaat wil extend the driving height, technical installations and escape routes to meet today's requirements. Clearly closing a tunnel will have major impact on the traffic and transport flows in the region and on the traffic flows through the adjacent tunnel.

The first step that makes it possible to assess and evaluate this impact is to start monitoring the situation. In this project we (TUDelft and CGI) will develop a web based tool to do exactly that.
