Research

Early Observability of EOR Process Effectiveness

(Supervisors: Prof. Dr. W.R. Rossen & Prof. Dr. Ir. J.D. Jansen)

The aim of this project is to apply EOR processes in a smarter way, i.e. while the process is in progress and when operating strategies might still be changed. The research question is whether it is possible to diagnose success or failure by real-time data acquisition. Given the very complex EOR processes and the inherent uncertainty in the reservoir description, the challenge is to discern the relevant signals in the midst of uncertainties and noise.
