BusMezzo

BusMezzo is a dynamic public transport operations and assignment simulation model. The model can be applied to multi-modal metropolitan public transport networks, including buses, trams, metro and commuter trains as well as the background car traffic. It has been applied in a large range of research projects and real-world applications including network design, cost-benefit evaluation, frequency determination, control strategies and disruptions. The model is especially suitable for studying dynamic phenomena such as congestion, impacts of information and disruption, and service reliability. The open-source program is continuously developed and used by a community of researchers in students in several universities, catered around contributors in TU Delft and KTH Stockholm.
