Dongyang Xia

Postdoc Researcher

Dr. Dongyang Xia is a postdoc researcher in the Transport and Planning department at Delft University of Technology. He is currently working on 'SINERGI' project, where he is responsible for introducing an integrated product assortment and display optimization model to help platforms to better arrange their fleet and developing efficient algorithms to plan operational activities for the short time horizon in real-time.

He has a PhD from the Beijing Jiaotong University, where his doctoral research focused on optimization methods for bus operations with modular vehicles under time-varying and uncertain passenger demand.

His research interests include:

  1. Timetabling and vehicle scheduling problems
  2. Applications of modularized autonomous vehicles
  3. Optimization under uncertainty
  4. Real-time optimization
