News & Events News Open menu 23 February 2024 Delft Digital Ethics Centre signs Letter of Intent to contribute to the Information Academy The Information Academy is an initiative of the Government Commissioner for Information Management Arre Zuurmond, and aims to become a leading knowledge platform, contributing to solutions to social issues through research and innovation, as well as education and assurance. This platform aims to realize a proactive, responsive government through decision-making based on information and knowledge, and a government of which its information management is future-proof. The Information academy aims to achieve this through an education programme for Dutch civil servants. Read more 11 January 2024 Samuel Scheffler visited the Delft Digital Ethics Centre This year's Van Hasselt Lecture at TU Delft was delivered by philosopher Samuel Scheffler (NYU). During Scheffler’s stay in Delft, the Delft Digital Ethics Centre organized a workshop on Values and Valuing in Virtual Life with Samuel Scheffler as guest of honor. Read more 08 January 2024 Building Trust in Healthcare AI: The Vision and Initiatives of the Responsible and Ethical AI in Healthcare Lab (REAiHL) in the Netherlands The article highlights the importance of transparency, explainability, and a protocol landscape for AI in healthcare. REAiHL proposes the establishment of a medical AI registry, analogous to clinical trials, to log and maintain AI algorithms before research or implementation.
