Han Mertens

I am a PhD candidate working on time-resolved spectroscopy to follow molecular processes initiated by heat on a picosecond timescale. This requires a rapid increase in temperature on the same timescale.

I did my BSc and MSc in Chemistry at Radboud University in Nijmegen, where I worked on solid-phase deracemization of molecules containing multiple stereocenters for my Master’s thesis.
