Profile

Biography

Stefan Gzyl holds a professional degree in architecture from Universidad Central de Venezuela and a Master in Architecture from Harvard University. 
He is a doctoral candidate with Borders & Territories. His research focuses on the impact of emigration on the urban transformations and social dynamics of present-day Caracas. Stefan is Assistant Professor of Design at FAU/UCV, where he was director of a design unit between 2016 and 2019. He is also co-director of Incursiones, an architectural practice working on public space installations, infrastructure, and education programs. His work has been presented at the Rotterdam Biennale, London Festival of Architecture, BIAU XII in Mexico City, Deutsches Architekturmuseum and the InterAmerican Design Biennial in Madrid, among others.
