Biography

Zhuoran Jia is currently a PhD candidate in the section History & Complexity, at the department of Architecture, TU Delft. His PhD research focuses on developing an automatic assessment methodology for improving the problems related to hospital layout designs such as overcrowding, spatial complexity of procedures, long walking distance, long waiting time, and difficulty in wayfinding, etc. With a strong interest in hospital design, Zhuoran’s research areas include hospital layout design, computational geometry and topology, spatial network analysis, and simulation modelling. Zhuoran has received his Bachelor degree of Design in Architecture from the University of Sydney in 2017, and his Master degree of Architecture from the same institution in 2019.
