The Cybersecurity Group @ EEMCS Hosts a Meetup for Women in Cybersecurity

The Cybersecurity group at TU Delft collaborated with WICCA (Women in Cybersecurity Community Association), to host a meetup on "Cybersecurity in the Age of Artificial Intelligence" on March 27, 2023. The overarching theme of the discussions was how academia and industry can help each other to improve our defense capabilities.

TU Delft Safety & Security Institute Funds 8 Seed Projects

The TU Delft Safety & Security Institute received no less than 15 proposals from TU Delft researchers for the Seed Funding Call which was issued at the end of 2022. The total amount requested was 187k€ euro, while we had 75k€ available. As a result, we were able to fund 8 proposals.

Zekeriya Erkin chosen as chair of IEEE Information Forensics and Security Technical Committee

The TC’s responsibility is to promote activities around information forensics and security. The TC has significant role in IEEE ICIP, ICASSP and W-IFS and IEEE Trans on IFS, which is the top journal in the field.

Prof. Ahmad-Reza Sadeghi (TU Darmstadt) gives a Cybersecurity Distinguished talk on Secure Federated Learning

Prof. Ahmad-Reza Sadeghi from TU Darmstadt, Germany visited TU Delft Cybersecurity group on November 30, 2022, the "International Computer Security Day" and gave a Cybersecurity Distinguished talk on Secure Federated Learning.

Title: "Pushing the Frontiers of Federated Learning: From Security Applications to Mitigation of Poisoning Attack.”

TU Delft Safety & Security Institute Seed Funding – Call for Proposals

The TU Delft Safety & Security Institute calls on TU Delft researchers to submit a proposal for seed funding for transdisciplinary collaborative activities in either initial or more advanced phases. The overall aim of the seed funding program is to increase the impact of safety & security research and education at TU Delft and to strengthen the position of TU Delft in this field.
Each year, usually around fall, the Safety & Security Institute issues a call for proposals from TU Delft researchers. In 2020 and 2021 more than 250.000 euro was awarded to projects involving researchers from all TU Delft faculties. See our website for more information about proposals which were awarded in previous rounds.
