TU Delft Cybersecurity group is organizing the 8th IEEE European Symposium on Security and Privacy in Delft between July 3-7, 2023.

TU Delft course wins Outstanding Security Training Initiative prize

At this year’s Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs), the TU Delft Risk Management Summer Course took home the Benelux OSPAs’ Outstanding Security Training Initiative award. This year’s edition of the course was organised by IDE’s Sicco Santema, alongside IDE alumna Rinske Geerlings and TU Delft strategic risk advisor Regina Edoo. Of all the nominees in this category, Santema’s group was the only one to be nominated by the participants.

Onlangs kon een ethisch hacker zonder problemen duizenden omvormers van zonnepanelen hacken. Georgios Smaragdakis vertelt bij RTL Nieuws waarom er meer aandacht moet zijn voor cybersecurity bij de energietransitie, waarbij niet alleen wordt overgestapt naar duurzame systemen, maar daarmee ook naar digitale systemen die bijvoorbeeld verbonden zijn aan het internet.

The cybersecurity group has been granted a 3-year project

The cybersecurity group @ EEMCS has been granted a 3-year project by Horizon Europe w.r.t. “World leading data and computing technologies”. The project is called TANGO, aiming to establish a safer cross-sector data sharing, in a citizen-centric, secure and trustworthy manner.

Successful Safety by Design course at the TU Delft Safety and Security Insitute

Safe by Design was successfully completed from 22 June to 24 June with a tremendous response from the PhD participants from all the relevant fields. We thank all the experts and the participants from various prestigious institutions to make this event a success.

The increased digitalisation of the power grid comes with its own set of cyber threats and risks. In TU Delft’s Control Room of the Future (CRoF) the power grid gets put through its paces. This remarkable research facility offers both industry and academics unique opportunities to research, develop and test the integration of new energy management technologies into the smart grid.
