Expertise
My research interests lie in the areas of:
- Wind farm asset management, with a focus on reliability and operations and maintenance.
- Onshore/offshore wind farm condition monitoring for fault detection, diagnosis and prognosis.
- Experimental investigation of wind turbine drive train component faults.
- Novel sensor technologies and advanced signal processing algorithms.
- Wind farm operational performance analysis.
I am Editorial Board member of the Wind Energy journal, Associate Editor of the Energy Reports journal and Topic Editor for the Energies journal.
Biografie
I am a TT Assistant Professor in the Wind Energy section at the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering. I graduated in Environmental Engineering at Universita`di Perugia, Italy (2008). I then received the MSc in New and Renewable Energy at Durham University, UK (2010), where I also completed my PhD in wind turbine condition monitoring (2015), under the supervision of Professor Peter Tavner within the EPSRC SUPERGEN Wind Phase 2 project. Before joining TU Delft in June 2020, I worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Durham University within the EPSRC SUPERGEN Wind Hub, a number of EPSRC IAA Knowledge Transfer Secondments projects and the ESPRC Prosperity Partnerships: A New Partnership in Offshore Wind.
