• Expertise: Applied Electromagnetic Geophysics and Quantitative Interpretation of Data.

• Primarily engaged in acquiring and applying electromagnetic geophysical data to answer questions related to volcanic and geothermal regions, mineral systems, and tectonics -- at various scales and with the integration of other geoscientific data. 

Onderzoeksinteresses

• Mapping and understanding the plumbing and sources of volcanic and geothermal systems, at both shallow and deep scales.  

• Investigating the deep sources of mineral systems, their crustal-scale footprints, and their links to major crustal boundaries.  

• Applying joint inversion schemes to geophysical data to extract new model constraints and new quantitative interpretations. 

• Examination and modelling of extreme magnetotelluric data potentially caused by high-contrast conductive anomalies and current channeling effects in features of interest.  

• Using thermo-mechanical modelling to explore the dynamics and evolution of the lithosphere with the integration of electromagnetic models and derived viscosity/rheology constraints.  

• Electrical structure of the upper-crust to the whole-lithosphere and implications for tectonic evolution (including faulting, suturing, and mountain-building), crust-mantle interactions, and geodynamics.

-Egypt: Western Desert (2019). 

-Germany: Sauerland, Westfalia (2019, 2020, 2022). 

-Chile: Andes, Maule (2016). 

-Argentina: Puna (2013). 

-Bolivia: Altiplano, Southern Desert (2010, 2011, 2012). 

-Canada: Alberta, British Columbia (2009, 2010, 2011, 2015).
