Recognition & Rewards input appreciated

The TU Delft Recognition & Rewards programme kicked off after the publication of the TU Delft Recognition & Rewards Perspective 2021-2024. It is part of the national initiative towards a new balance in recognizing and rewarding academics.

The total programme consists of 15 projects, all in various stages of development. To improve the way scientific staff is recognised and rewarded we value your input and feedback. In the coming period the following projects will need input from scientific staff specifically:

  1. Update of the scientific staff criteria, beginning with valorisation.

Within the Recognition & Rewards programme, we have two projects aimed at updating the scientific staff criteria. One with a focus on valorisation and one with a focus on research, education and leadership. For the valorisation project we are organising focus groups. We already have a list of candidates which we will contact soon. For the second project we aim to do something similar. Are you interested in being part of this project as part of a focus group on scientific staff criteria on research, education and leadership? Let us know via RecognitionandRewards@tudelft.nl.

  1. Excellent teams.

This project aims to set up a framework for high performing educational and research teams and develop relevant tooling based on the framework and identified needs. Therefore, we would really appreciate to hear about a) examples of existing TUD-teams and their success factors; b) any existing processes, habits and instruments that facilitate and stimulate teamwork; and c) other ideas on ways to recognize and reward teamwork at the TU Delft. We are interested in best practices of successful research as well as educational teams. If you have any input, please let us know via RecognitionandRewards@tudelft.nl.

  1. Early career teaching experience

The goal of this project is to give all new lecturers a good start in education. This is realised by designing a specific teaching introduction programme, combined with support via mentoring and intervision sessions. The project also includes the development of a starters kit/landing page that links all essential information for new teachers, including existing information, materials, and schooling (learning hub) as well as new materials.

We would like to hear about current developments and best practices concerning tools or activities for the introduction of new lecturers, but also mentoring, intervision and teaching communities' best practices are very welcome. If you have any input, please let us know via RecognitionandRewards@tudelft.nl.
