TU Delft on the 50e place in THE Reputation Ranking

TU Delft takes 50th position on the 2021 Times Higher Education World Reputation Ranking published today. As far as European universities are concerned, TU Delft has ended in 13th position, and within the Netherlands TU Delft is number one.

The results are based on surveys conducted among leading academics who are asked to name a maximum of 15 universities that, in their experience, excel in teaching and research. This input is also used in the World University Ranking and the Subject Rankings compiled by Times Higher Education.

‘The most powerful global university brands’

This ranking, referred to as the list of ‘the most powerful global university brands’, only awards 200 positions (this used to be 100).

Various rankings

Rankings like this are primarily important to universities with regard to attracting international talent, as they are regularly consulted by students and researchers from all over the world. Alongside the Shanghai and QS rankings, the list published by Times Higher Education is one of the leading international university rankings. Each of these rankings is compiled using a slightly different methodology, each with its own advantages and limitations.
