Applied Earth Sciences is an international course of study with the Earth as its focus. You explore the Earth, looking for petroleum, natural gas or other minerals.

How do you extract them and how do you process them? You will need to discover and develop new technologies. We are dealing with the future of our planet after all. In Applied Earth Sciences, engineers are trained with economic and social factors in mind. The emphasis is on technical knowledge and practical experience for an internationally oriented profession. The programme is based on theory and lots of hands-on experience. Important programme features include excursions, international field work, exchanges and internships. The great challenge of this programme lies in the combination of engineering and geosciences.
