Edgar Gironés

Edgar Gironés is a postdoctoral researcher in the Interactive Intelligence Group supervised by Pradeep Murukannaiah. He is currently working in the Dutch Research Council (NWO) project “RED & BLUE: Real Estate Development & Building in Low Urban Environments”, in which he researches how Natural Language Processing (NLP) can support decision-making in the climate adaptation and climate risk domains. Edgar main research interest is the use of Natural Language Processing in public policy. He is particularly interested in using NLP to facilitate policy-making and to perform innovative public policy research. Prior to his current appointment, Edgar worked in industry and in the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research. He holds MSc and PhD degrees in Innovation Studies from Eindhoven University of Technology and a BSc in International Relations from the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
