Industrial designers shape the world. From games that help people with dementia to iconic water bottles to community sanitary facilities in India – these are just a few of the designs that have come out of the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering (IDE).
Design offers a way to disentangle complexity, build partnerships, and structure the world. It is no longer enough for us to simply react; we must anticipate what's to come.
Against this backdrop, design education at the Delft University of Technology is evolving and IDE is rising to the challenge. We give our students the competencies they need to become multidisciplinary experts who cultivate economic, environmental, and societal impact through design.
