Bruno de Andrade is Assistant Professor in Heritage, Values, and Project Decisions for Sustainability at the Heritage & Values chair, Heritage & Architecture section, Department of Architectural Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment, TU Delft. He has a Digital Citizen Participation Post-doctoral Research Fellowship (PDRF) with CCAT (Coastal Communities Adapting Together) at the School of Architecture, Planning and Environmental Policy, University College Dublin. He has a Bachelor and Master in Architecture and Urbanism from the Federal University of Espírito Santo, Brazil, and PhD in Architecture and Urbanism from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil. He has been researching heritage values and community mapping with children at the University of Florence, Italy as well as the relationship between design thinking and serious games at the Vienna University of Technology. In his research, he is looking at the value of heritage for society by means of bottom-up analog and digital participatory methods and tools for sense-making, design thinking and decision-making. A particular interest is in exploring gaming as a method to train new architects and inform policymaking for greater sustainability in heritage planning and management.
