Biography
Burcu Köken completed her master's studies at Middle East Technical University. She worked in academic positions as a research assistant and lecturer in Turkey. Currently, she is studying in the Architecture and Democracy program in collaboration with the Jaap Bakema Study Centre Het Nieuwe Instituut.
Research
Her research interests are situated at the intersection of cultural politics, democratic theory, and architectural historiography, and retain a focus on architectural journalism. She studies Turkish journal Mimarlık in her Ph.D.
