Biography
Volkan Salma holds a BSc. degree in electronics engineering and a MSc. degree in computer engineering. He has experience on safety critical systems for more than 12 years in different sectors including aviation, medical and space. After leading a flight software project for an unmanned aerial vehicle, he joined to European Space Agency as flight software systems engineer in 2017. He is currently responsible for the onboard software of Sentinel3 program, which B model was launched in 2018 and successfully operational now. Next to his career at ESA, he pursues his PhD project in the Airborne Wind Energy(AWE) research group at TU Delft.
