BlendEd: A collaboration between two institutions for new interdisciplinary classes, modules, and courses!

The project BlendEd is a collaboration between The Faculty of Architecture at TU Delft (BK) and the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies (IHS) at Erasmus University, Rotterdam. BlendEd is the starting point for new interdisciplinary classes, modules, and courses in collaboration with the two institutions. It aims to create more synergy between their educational programs on urban development.

It seeks to foster ongoing and find new joined educational initiatives between the two institutions, following the principles of Blended Learning. One of these initiatives is BlendEd, an interactive platform that displays  26 educational videos on sustainable housing, strategic urban planning and heritage values. These videos were created by lecturers at both institutions from different disciplinary backgrounds, to facilitate and simplify interdisciplinary learning. Each video explains an important theory, concept or method, assisted by attractive illustrations and visuals of phenomena and urban processes.  Lecturers and students can make use of the platform, as content for their courses or interests outside of their curriculum. The platform will be launched on 22 September, at 16:00 at the Berlagezalen, BK TU Delft. For more information about this initiative or to register for the launch event contact Marije Peute (Project Coordinator) by emailing m.h.peute@tudelft.nl, or visit the event page.
