University Teaching Qualification information session

How can I make my lessons interesting? How do I keep my students motivated and keep them in the lead of their own learning process? What does an effective course design look like? And how can I create a good exam for my course?

These are questions that are addressed in the University Teaching Qualification Programme (UTQ).

The UTQ programme provides new university teaching staff with the opportunity to develop competencies necessary to carry out their current and future teaching duties. The programme is mainly intended for all new or less experienced lecturers with teaching duties of more than 0,2 fte. Obtaining the UTQ qualification is obligatory for all new lecturers at TU Delft with less than 5 years of teaching experience. It consists of four modules focusing on developing education, assessing, teaching and supervising.

Do you have plans to sign up for the programme or did you already and would like to know more about it? Please join the UTQ information session on 17 November in the Teaching Lab. During this session you’ll get an overview of the programme and answers to questions such as: what I will learn in the modules, what is the best moment to take a particular course, do I need to have teaching experience, how do I sign up and anything else you would like to know.

After the session there is a lunch. Here you can meet the course trainers and your colleagues that are currently taking the UTQ. Location: Teaching Lab,

Building 32A, Landbergstraat 19, 2628 CE Delft
