eXtended Reality for Civil Engineering: Yan Feng’s MSc course

20 februari 2024 09:00 t/m 23 februari 2024 18:00 - Locatie: TU Delft Library, Main Hall, XR Zone | Zet in mijn agenda

*eXtended Reality for Civil Engineering (XR) projects and posters will be exhibited in front of the XR Zone from 20 - 23 Feb during Library opening hours. *In collaboration with the TU Delft NewMedia Centre.

Six groups of motivated MSc Civil Engineering students develop their XR applications, conduct experiments, and collect data to address pressing civil engineering problems. Their projects span diverse topics, from road safety behavioral studies to advanced clash detection techniques and innovative visualisations of construction sites.

Join the lunch demo & reception on Thursday, 22 February from 12:45-14:00 to experience the XR applications and learn from the students presenting their projects. There will be free lunch provided for registered guests.

More about the researcher:

Dr. Yan Feng is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Transport and Planning and Director of the Mobility in eXtended Reality Lab at Delft University of Technology. She is working on applying eXtended Reality (Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Mixed Reality) to study different modes of mobility in urban spaces, including pedestrians, cyclists, and automated vehicles. She is passionate about conducting interdisciplinary research that combines transportation engineering, architecture, design, and computer science to understand the intricate relationship between mobility behavior, spatial dynamics, and technology, especially in the context of dangerous and future scenarios.
