Plain HTML

Layout

This is why we can't have nice things

We have an option to override existing CSS/scripts, and substitute our own code. This element is called Plain HTML. As you can see, this enables us to for change the entire layout, amongst other things. While this page is not a destructive example but rather just an appalling one, it is possible to make more unwanted use of the element, which could potentially result in consequences for the entire website. Consider, for instance, an embedded form that does not comply to our secure certificate, and thereby prompts browsers to label the entire TU Delft website as unsafe.

Besides, the TU Delft website has been designed to look in a specific way, and everyone on it should conform to that principal design. Within the boundaries, there are plenty of options to personify and customize.

To avoid tinkering by people who do not know what they are doing (or know it a little too well), Plain HTML elements are only available for content managers and administrators. If you have any special wishes, for instance to embed a social media feed, contact your content manager and they can create the element for you. Violators will be shot.
