The Multiphase Systems group studies fundamental and applied aspects of multiphase flows, inspired by industrial applications. Research is done using state-of-the-art numerical tools (DNS, immersed boundary methods) and experimental techniques (e.g. MRI, x-ray, ultrasound imaging and particle image velocimetry).

Our current focus is on dense suspensions, for which we investigate the effects on e.g. the transition to turbulence.
