CyberSecurity@TUDelft special event on H2020/European Funding

On March 22 CyberSecurity@TUDelft organized a special event on H2020/European Funding. Fifteen researchers, representatives from industry and The Hauge Security Delta (HSD), and TU Delft’s funding experts discussed in depth the most important aspects of successful proposal writing, consortia building, and public private collaboration strategies.

Franck Mignet from Thales spoke about his experience with successful projects under H2020 and the Thales focus areas for the coming years. Nort van Schayik spoke about the interest of Compumatica to collaborate with universities. Bram Spitzer, on behalf of HSD and EIT Digital, talked about EIT’s funding opportunities and the activities of the cyber security cluster to enhance public private collaboration. Jan Schiereck and David Sayago Hilera shared their European funding expertise, taking concrete examples and hands-on tips.

Dean of the faculty of EEMCS, John Schmitz, endorsed the importance of academia and industry working together multidisciplinary to be able to find answers for the grand challenges in the broad Cyber Security spectrum, now and in the coming decades.
