Kick-off meeting

Kick-off meeting for the advisory groups (18-01-2017)

In the development of the strategic framework of the TU Delft for the period 2018-2024, the input from a wide variety of stakeholders is essential. As a first step, the Executive Board has established a dozen of Strategic Advisory Groups that will advise the Board on a number of specific themes. On January 18th, more than 80 strategy advisory group members gathered to kick-off their efforts as advisory groups. It was an inspiring evening.

The meeting was organized at Lijm & Cultuur, just outside the campus. It was just far enough to break away from our daily jobs and weekly workload and focus on a totally different timeframe: the future of TU Delft, the University in ten years time. The evening was chaired by the President of the Executive Board Tim van der Hagen. After his opening words, six participants were asked to share their speculations about the future: where they imagined the TU Delft in 10 years’ time. In between these imaginative pitches, participants engaged in a lively discussion while presented with some thought-provoking statements. After the formal program dinner was served and the participants had the opportunity to get to know their fellow group members.

In his blog, Tim van der Hagen reflected on the kick-off meeting, read his blog here.
