Pim van der Male

In the spring of 2012 I started as a PhD candidate within the Offshore Wind group. The upcoming years I will devote to the integrated design of offshore wind turbines. In particular, I try to describe coupled nonlinear dynamics, for instance due to simultaneous wind and wave loading.

After graduating from Delft University of Technology in 2006, I worked as a structural engineer at Witteveen+Bos. I gained experience on bored tunneling projects and the assessment of ground-borne vibrations. For both study and work I lived temporarily in Denmark and Kazakhstan. Because I felt the need to obey my academic aspirations, I decided to return to Delft University of Technology.
