BJTU-TUDelft courses

The DRTLab is involved in the following courses as part of the joint BSc programme in Traffic and Transportation between Beijing Jiaotong University and Delft University of Technology in Beijing.

 

Fundamentals of Railway Transportation

This course is designed for undergraduates who follow the joint bachelor programme between Delft University of Technology and Beijing Jiaotong University. The objective of this course is to master basic concepts of railway operations planning and management. The course content includes basic principles of railway systems, railway organization, main concepts of freight and passenger transport planning and traffic operations, railway maintenance, and railway simulation.

 

Fundamentals of Urban Public Transportation

This course is designed for undergraduates who follow the joint bachelor programme between Delft University of Technology and Beijing Jiaotong University. This course introduces key concepts and techniques in the field of urban public transportation within the context of the national policy of “Giving priority to public transportation system”. The course provides the fundamentals of multi-modal passenger transport system analysis including characteristics of systems, demand and supply analysis, planning and management of operations.
