On 27 February, the BK Talks 'A timeline of education. Celebrating Bouwkunde in Delft: A Chronology' takes place.

Join us on February 27th for a special edition of BK Talks as we celebrate the opening of the installation Bouwkunde in Delft: A Chronology at our Faculty. This unique installation provides a comprehensive overview of the history of architectural education in Delft. Bouwkunde in Delft: A Chronology unfolds a visual narrative that spans a significant portion of the history of architectural education in Delft, from its start in 1842 to the introduction of the Bachelor-Master structure in 2000.

The installation showcases a carefully curated collection of objects and images symbolizing major developments in the institutional, educational, and personal realms of Bouwkunde, through the perspectives of students, graduates, professors, and staff members.

During the BK Talks event, Bouwkunde in Delft: A Chronology will be presented by Aart Oxenaar and Jesse Verdoes. Following the presentation, Willemijn Wilms Floet will lead a conversation about the rich history of Bouwkunde, inviting everyone to share their thoughts and insights. The discussion will span topics from the history of education to the role of collections, exploring the complexity of researching pasts, presents, and futures.

Join us for an engaging exploration of Bouwkunde's legacy and its relevance to our understanding of architecture.
