Atmospheric Bonsai event in the TU Delft Hortus Botanicus

On June 8 and 9, the Bonsai van het Westen event will open its doors for the 16th time in the TU Delft Hortus Botanicus, Poortlandplein 6. This year, the focus will once again be a beautiful bonsai exhibition where bonsai can be admired.

In addition to the exhibition, bonsai shaping workshops are given for beginners and advanced users, you can take a tour of the many bonsai setups and there is the opportunity to attend a demonstration of how a rough shrub is transformed into a beautiful pre-bonsai. On both days these trees can be won by the public through a lottery.

This year, taichi and chair massage will be on the program again and there will be two lectures per day, which will give you a glimpse into the world of bonsai.

The market gives you a wide choice of bonsai and related items. Our Chinese tea ceremony has been expanded this year with a Japanese matcha tea ceremony.

Tired of watching, participating and shopping, you can sit down for a tasty snack and drink at the Food square or take a nice walk in the Hortus Botanicus. Plenty to do for a wonderful day out in the open air.
