We originally planned this trip in 2019, expecting it to take place in the Autumn of 2020, and then Corona came along.
In 2023 we picked up where we left off and last month we visited Jordan and had an amazing time. We enjoyed this beautiful country with friendly locals, delicious food, beautiful and often wild nature. The unique experience of Petra and of course the deepest lake on earth, the Dead sea. The trip was a series of highlights. Together with Destimundo reizen the following programma was made. 2 of the Prometheus team will join the group to solve any problems should they arise. By travelling with Destimundo we take part in their CO2 programma which plants trees.

Day 1
We fly to Jordan, arriving in the capital Amman during the evening. We fly with Royal Jordanian airlines. After visa procedures at the airport our coach will take us to the hotel for a late dinner.

Day 2
A Dutch guide will take us to the highlights of Amman. You will have free time down town to enjoy a lunch in a restaurat of your choice.

Day 3
Today we board the bus to visit Jerash, Mount Nebo and Madaba.

Day 4
We leave Amman behind us and head south to Petra. On the way to our hotel we will visit ‘Little Petra’ a small of taste of what’s to come.

Day 5
This is the day you may look forward to the most. You will have seen many pictures of the Treasury but we can assure you the 2k walk through the gorge is breathtaking and at the end you will see the Treasury. But, Petra is more than just the Treasury, there are so many places to visit at this location. Afterwards you can visit the museum which is located at the entrance to Petra. It is good to remember that the 2k walk down to the treasury is downhill, which means the return journey is uphill. We advise that if you are not as fit as you could be to take a shuttle buggy. Please do not ride a horse, donkey or camel, we think all are unsafe and unkind.

Day 6
Today we depart Petra and travel towards Wadi Rum, a totally different type of highlight. On arrival at the camp we will enjoy lunch. Take time to relax this afternoon, take a short stroll in the desert and enjoy the effects of sunlight and clouds have on the sand and rocks. This evening a local Bedouin woman will come along and demonstrate Henna hand painting. Day 7
Today we discover more of Wadi Rum sitting in the back of a 4x4 jeep. If you prefer you can sit inside with the driver. We will make numerous stops for amongst others tea and for you to enjoy the view. Remember to take a fully charges camera or phone along.

Dag 8
Today we leave Wadi Rum and drive in 3-4 hours to our last hotel located on the shores of the Dead Sea. Here you can enjoy a very unusual floating experience and perhaps even enjoy the famous mud masks.

Dag 9 &10
Charge your batteries at this beautiful place and reflect on all that you have seen the past few days.

Dag 11
Today we leave Jordan and fly back to Amsterdam, arriving at Schiphol at around 3pm
