Journal articles and conference papers

Journal articles

Use journal articles for recent research results or for a complete overview of the state of affairs regarding research into a specific subject. With descriptions and comparisons of recent publications.

Find a journal article: general databases

You can find part of the journal articles in WorldCat Discovery. For a complete picture we recommend the use of an article database. An article database contains descriptions of journal articles with, where possible, a direct link to the article. General or multidisciplinary databases can be used for all subject areas, for example:

Curious about the differences between Scopus, WordlCat Discovery and Google Scholar? Go to the Resources module in TUlib, our online reference work on searching and finding scientific information. Here you will also find an instructional video about searching in Scopus.

Find a journal article: subject-specific databases

Subject-specific databases often provide good results, a few examples are:

Go to Information by faculty for the best databases for your field. Or consult the A-Z list for an overview of all available databases.

  • Search in a database by subject, title or author.
  • If the TU Delft Library has a subscription to the journal, you can click through to the article from the database and open or save it.
  • If the TU Delft Library does not have a subscription to the journal, you can submit a request for the article via document delivery. We then request the article from another library in the Netherlands or abroad.

If you do not search by subject or author, but simply want to read a magazine from front to back, you can of course also look up the entire magazine.
