Bio: Kees den Heijer is Data Steward at the faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences. He has a background (MSc and PhD) in coastal engineering, coastal morphology and coastal dune erosion specifically, and probabilistics. During his carreer in research and consultancy, he has gained wide experience in data management, data science, visualization and software development. He has a strong focus on reproducible research, automation of workflows and profesionalising coding skills among researchers. Kees is certified Carpentries (https://carpentries.org) instructor.

Next to his TU Delft position, Kees is active as data consultant at Data2day (https://data2day.nl/en).
